Isn't it ironic?

Actually, it might not be--I've never been able to tell the difference between irony and coincidence....

It seems two drivers here in my home state, near Grand Rapids, got into an altercation involving tailgating as they raced down the highway, and as they confronted each other outside their cars managed to fire shots that killed each other.

Both drivers had concealed carry permits.

This is not schadenfreude--two deaths are not anything that should be celebrated.  But it sure does seem the old saying is true:  live by the sword, die by the sword.
