Why Liberals struggle as much as we do

For the record, I've never used a sexist term to refer to a female republican....

Ever wonder why so few Americans self-identify as Liberals? Ever wonder why we have so much trouble getting candidates elected and our agenda enacted despite the fact that most Americans agree with our values? Look no further than this piece in today's Daily Kos. While I agree that Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin a "twat" was an extremely poor choice of words, it doesn't rate a mention, let alone a lengthy diatribe in the Daily Kos. At a time when our people are fired up by rallies in the midwest (which holds states that if we desire victory in 2012 are vital to our efforts) over issues that matter--pay cuts to the middle class, destroying public sector unions, cutting benefits to working people, trying to end collective bargaining rights--Kaili Gray is wasting our time because she's a bit squeamish about an ill-conceived choice of words.

I swear to God, the powers that be in the republican party have to laugh their asses off every time they see one of these type articles that take Democratic eyes off the true goal with an issue that looks petty and not particularly astute.

Peace,
emaycee
