After New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman was rightly crucified for her puff piece on Hope Hicks (rumor has it that Haberman is writing a book about the Trump administration and needs Hicks as a source) and her "existential choice" about complying with a Congressional subpoena (there's nothing existential about a subpoena--you either respond or you break the law), Haberman whined that criticism of her "reporting" was getting personal.
You know what else is personal? Separating parents from their children. Appeasing white nationalism. Racism (especially if you're a person of color). Vilifying the LGBTQ community. Giving huge tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations while wages for working folks continue to stagnate. Authoritarianism. Taking health care away from anyone, but especially those with a pre-existing condition. Denying that climate change exists. Nominating sexual predators for the Supreme Court. Abortion bans.
In the words of Trump's supporters, fuck your feelings. We're trying to save a country here--you can either report the truth or get steamrolled by people working for the common good and not for stroking their own egos.
Fuck Donald Trump,
emaycee
