It was surprising to me that in regaining the blue wall, Joe Biden won Michigan by so many more votes (146,000) than he won Pennsylvania (63,000) and Wisconsin (20,000). How much, do you suppose, he was hurt here by his "that woman" comments in referring to our Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, by Michigan women who have had about as much condescension from asshole men as they can stomach? How many votes did he lose with his tepid denunciation of the plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer, in which he essentially said it was her own fault, from Michigan women who have taken enough verbal abuse from asshole men to last them a lifetime? How many cast their votes against a man who shorted the people of Michigan PPE equipment, knowing full well that Trump's petulance was a threat to the lives of their children?
I certainly hope that the Democratic Party is taking a long look see into why Michigan performed so much better than in 2016, but I have a hunch it's about the women, stupid.
