| What kind of an asshole threatens these people? |
If you're of a certain age, you will recall that there was a great deal of anger among many in this country who felt we should not be involved in the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, some of this anger spilled over and was directed at those who least deserved it, the soldiers who had fought there and had returned home. Unfairly or not, as the Democratic Party was, for the most part, the anti-war party, the treatment of these soldiers (though often from fringe groups on the left) provided a black eye for our party that most certainly cost us at the ballot box, especially among those that preferred the middle ground.
I note this after news broke this weeks that the republican terrorists who have been floating around our state capitols waving guns, bearing swastikas and nooses, and waving Confederate flags have begun threatening healthcare workers who only fault is trying to keep Americans alive through the worst pandemic this country has ever seen.
Call me crazy, but I'm having a real hard time believing those folks who are still on the fence concerning the Presidential election this November walking into a voting booth and thinking to themselves, "You know, nothing makes America greater than threatening to kill doctors and nurses for doing their job."
So we need to make sure we hang these fuckers like an anvil right around Donald Trumps big fat neck.
