A few weeks back Digby had a post on Hullabaloo where she wrote about the top ten proclamations Donald Trump has made (so far) about the damages he will inflict on America and our Democracy if he wins this November. To give you a brief idea, Trump has said if he wins he has the power to terminate the U.S. Constitution, legally erase trans people from existence, that he will pardon all January 6th insurrectionists, will cut funding to schools that teach anything he doesn't like, and end birthright citizenship via Executive Order. That's just half of what this fucking Hitler wannabe has said he will do--which would literally destroy everything this nation has ever stood for...and there is so much more hate and ignorance he wants to forcefully impose on all Americans (Project 2025, underwritten by numerous right wing nutjobs, has outlined what will be done to turn Trump's next Presidency into a dictatorship) , the vast majority of whom disagree vehemently with his Nazi vision for America.
My biggest fear is that there are far too many Americans who do not realize that our Democracy is in grave danger if Donald Trump should win--in fact, America as we know and love it will no longer exist. It is imperative that he is defeated. In fact, outside of familial responsibilities, there is no greater issue facing Americans than defeating the lying sack of shit Donald Trump in 2024.
And sending a message to the rest of the GOP that fascism is not our desired mode of government by creating a massive blue wave to protect our Democracy and continue to fight and do what's best for the American people.
To that end, from now until November 5th, I will be creating an extra post every day to highlight at least one reason (if not more) why we should all #VoteBlue2024.
May fate, and the arc of the moral universe, be with us all this year.
