The most powerful part of Pence's statements today was NOT him calling Trump WRONG. It was him saying that the notion that ANY ONE PERSON could choose the American president, is UN-AMERICAN. This is the statement sticking most in Trump's craw. It cuts into his narcissism, deeply.
