How do these fucking people look themselves in the mirror?

Trump says he has so successfully intimidated Rand Paul that he is now an obedient little cuck.

GOP release of Fauci diary confirms what we already knew: Trump is a colossal fuck up

Anthony Fauci lets loose on 'infinitely lying' Trump in COVID diary. Fauci called President Donald Trump "out of control," a "true embarrassment" and "an idiot" in his personal diary www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Fauci nails it again

Fauci accuses Rand Paul of having an "unhinged obsession with calling for my prosecution" and of making "repeated slanderous comments," then says "although it pains me to do so... under advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the 5th Amendment to refrain from answering your questions."

They could be royals...

The ideal republican President

I've been saying for quite a few years now that when you hear republicans scream about "the tree of liberty" or fly their "Don't Tread on Me" flags or tell us how the Founding Fathers envisioned America (and I'd be willing to bet you could count on one hand the members of the republican base who have actually read The Federalist Papers) it was just so much bullshit because these people believe in the American system about as much as an avowed atheist believes in God.  I guarantee you that to a person they would have all backed King George III because they don't want a nation of laws and men, they want a nation of kings and edicts (that reinforce their, and theirs alone, worldview).

News lately that Rand Paul has been trying to explain why Democracy is such a failure (and proving why he should have remained an eye doctor) and some right wing nutjob named Matt Walsh (who I'd  never heard of until this week) said that Americans should have a job and a basic knowledge of civics to vote (pretty sure those requirements would hurt republicans a lot more than Democrats--the I.Q. of your average republican is just below that of a gnat) betrays their monarchist desires.  They don't believe in the American people--they believe in retaining power at any cost (and just look at the damage they've done to their own to keep that power when it comes to COVID-19, the opioid epidemic, or the economic stagnation of their rural and less educated voters).

Their entire platform has always been, and always will be, built on the principle of "Let Them Eat Cake"--they have what they want and that the rest of us don't is just too fucking bad.

At least until the other side realizes that the tree of liberty is actually watered with universal healthcare, good jobs, a living wage, and the right to for all of us to be equal in the eyes of the law.

Republicans don't hate Democracy--they're terrified of it.

A special kind of stupid

You're the one with the headache--the "free" market is the ball and chain

One of the reasons Trumpcare has failed thus far, is that radical right-wingers like Rand Paul don't believe it goes far enough in screwing over your average American.  Paul wants to turn it all over to the marketplace (Exact quote:  "You have to believe that leaving people alone, that the marketplace will bring prices down." Seriously? Who the fuck believes that other than rich folks?) and let it decide what prices to charge folks like us who aren't millionaires.

And while this piece from Think Progress does an excellent job of debunking Paul's bullshit, it doesn't make the simple argument:  the marketplace doesn't care if you live or die, but the government (at least when it's run by Democrats) does.  Frankly, if the poor, the working class, and the middle class want affordable healthcare that will actually protect them when they're sick, the government must be involved.

Otherwise,  you can guarantee that business will start booming for funeral homes--which, come to think of it, may be the republican plan after all.

A Rand dumb thought

In an appearance on Fox News yesterday, Kentucky Senator and Presidential aspirant Rand Paul blew the Koch Brothers a kiss when he said, "The thing is, income inequality is due to some people working harder and selling more things, so if people voluntarily buy more of your stuff, you'll have more money."

Nicely, my response to Paul's "working harder" supposition can be neatly summed up in three words:  "Fuck you, Rand."

Koch heads

Other than the fact that they're all probably running for the republican Presidential nomination in 2016, know what Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Scott Walker have in common?  They've been anointed by the Koch brothers as the five candidates most likely to be supported by the not so dynamic duo ($$$$) as the Man Who Would Be King, otherwise known as the republican Presidential nominee in 2016.

Not so sure any of the Fab Five should be rejoicing--contrary to republican groupthink, rich folks aren't all that popular with average Americans these days and I'm pretty sure that whoever wins the Democratic nomination (not to mention our support groups) is going to use large chunks of the two to three hundred million dollars they'll have in their campaign chests to remind average Americans just how much they don't like rich rolks.

Having the Koch brothers on your side is a lot like trying to paddle a row boat with a basketball sized hole in the bottom across the Pacific Ocean--the odds were long to begin with but the hole makes it impossible.

...Fat chance

Completing our republican idiot trifecta for today, Rand Paul on Tuesday announced his candidacy to be the next President of the United States.  Frankly, I have a better chance of winning the gold medal in the men's pole vault in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (at which point in time I'll be fifty-seven years old and still forty pounds overweight) than Rand Paul does of being our next President.

Like Ted Cruz before him, Rand Paul inhabits a building where the elevator does not go to the top floor and the American people (not to mention the powers that be in the republican party) aren't about to put a conspiracy theorist nutjob in charge of our families' well-being.

Next republican candidate please!

Hiding in plain sight

Let's see....

Jeb Bush embarrassed himself in the past week by proclaiming himself to be the technology candidate and then hiring as his technology chief a misogynistic homophobic racist and releasing a slew of e-mails from his governship in Florida trying to show his caring nature only he didn't care enough to redact the senders' personal information (including social security numbers).   Rand Paul embarrased himself in the past week by proclaiming that kids who were vaccinated suddenly turned into crazed zombies and that Hillary Clinton spawned ISIS.  Chris Christie embarrassed himself by going overseas and showing he knows nothing about foreign policy or vaccinations.  Scott Walker embarrassed himself today by also going overseas and refusing to say whether he believes in evolution because it isn't a question a politician should be concerned with (fucking really?).

No wonder republicans this week began sniping at Hillary Clinton because she's not campaigning and is supposedly in hiding.  If our candidate was peforming this badly, I'd want anyone out there from the other side who might deflect attention, too.

Christ, how does anyone vote for a republican?

Rand Paul, mega fucking idiot

My biggest concern with the republicans big night last evening was that they would actually decide to govern and give the Democrats a real run for their money in 2016.

And along came mega fucking idiot Rand Paul to calm my fears.

Posting on his Facebook page, Paul decided to put up pictures of defeated Senatorial candidates and beneath each put "#Hillaryslosers."

Because nothing is more Presidential than pulling a stunt that would be lame even for your average high school freshman.

Can Hillary blow it?

If her statements and inaction over the past week or so are indicative, yes, yes she can.

For starters, Ms. Clinton seems to be distancing herself from President Obama's foreign policy.  This is strange because a) Clinton's politically strategic vote on the Iraq War probably cost her the last election (I know it cost her my vote); b) Obama looks like Winston Churchill times ten on foreign policy compared to the debacle that was Bush the Lesser; and c) she was an awfully big part of it for four years as our Secretary of State.  And it's not like doing so is going to gain her any republican votes in the 2016 election--if she wins, it'll be because of Democrats.

Needless to say, republican upstart and a man who will never be President, Rand Paul, is already attacking Ms. Clinton as a "warhawk."  How inept must you be when your comments cause a republican to call you, a lifelong Democrat, a hawk?

Notice anything about Ms. Clinton's comments on the uproar in Ferguson, MO?  Of course you didn't--becuase she has said nothing.  How much of a kick in the ass is that to black Americans after they came out in full force to help put the Clintons in the White House?

It's not 1992 or 1996--it's going to be 2016 when the next Presidential election arrives, and the way to win is not to run as republican lite.  The path to victory is to run as a Democrat.  Frankly, I'm really beginning to believe that she might fuck up her chances a second time--she's either inept at Presidential campaigning or just flat doesn't fucking get it.

Either way, Martin O'Malley anyone?  How about Deval Patrick?

Will a real Democrat please run?

emaycee
