They sold their souls to save a piece of shit
When Durham unexpectedly found evidence of crimes committed BY rather than AGAINST Trump, he and Barr deliberately deceived the nation into thinking the opposite! This deep dive by the NYT is as jaw-dropping as anything I’ve read in the past decade. https://t.co/3WZVjgfCtl

Another republican arrow in the rule of law
DOJ releases shocking memo which discloses that Barr misrepresented Mueller Report finding that Trump committed obstruction of justice. In short, the DOJ under Barr engaged in a cover up of the former president's criminal conduct.https://t.co/uM1amLVaiY https://t.co/uM1amMcdkY

Never have been and never will be pro-life

| Once again, republicans take it to the limit |
I understand why, during yesterday's hearings on corruption in William Barr's Department of Justice, people point out Louie Gohmert's pounding on a table trying to drown out the words of Donald Ayer. It's the epitome of Donald Trump's republican party--throwing a tantrum like some child going through the terrible twos because you don't like what's being said.
What I thought was worse, though, was republicans questioning (several times) why Aaron Zelinsky didn't appear in person (though it's perfectly legal for him to appear remotely). When Zelinsky noted that he wasn't appearing in person because he had a newborn son, and after consulting with medical professionals about the coronavirus he decided it was safer for his son if he not appear (newborns have yet to build up much of an immune system), not one republican showed a single shred of humanity. None of them said, "Thank you for clarifying that, sir--it makes perfect sense." None of them said, "Best to be safe--so how is the little guy?"
Here's a man doing what a good father should do--look after the health and well-being of his child--and instead of celebrating protecting a new life, republicans tried to score political points over an act in which there were no political points to be gained. Republicans do not give a shit about anyone--they truly only care about keeping themselves in political power.
They can stick that pro-life bullshit straight on up their asses.

Phrase of the year
On a day in which I learned that Merriam Webster's word of the year was "they" (explanation here) and that most of the year's top words revolved around the impeachment of Donald Trump, and after reading about Attorney General William Barr's lie-filled interview on MSNBC earlier today concerning the IG Report on the FBI's conduct concerning Donald Trump's collusion with Russia, in the spirit of both I would like to nominate "Lying sack of shit" as the phrase of the year. To wit:
Donald Trump? Lying sack of shit.
William Barr? Lying sack of shit.
Mike Pompeo? Lying sack of shit.
Mick Mulvaney? Lying sack of shit.
Devin Nunes? Lying sack of shit.
Mitch McConnell? Lying sack of shit.
Trump children? Lying sacks of shit.
Think of it--it's the perfect phrase for republicans these days:
"Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Lying Sack of Shit, said today..."
"Lying sack of shit and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was on Capitol Hill this morning to..."
"Ivanka Trump, lying sack of shit, was set to debut her new line of..."
It's short, it's sweet, and in direct opposition to republican distortion of facts, it's truthful.

All ye need to know
![]() |
| Truth will be beauty after we see the full report |
All you need to know about "Attorney General" William Barr's "press conference" today on the release of the redacted (key word!) Mueller report is that he noted not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, but five times that Mueller found no evidence of collusion.
His denials mean beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, an enemy of the United States of America.
Period.

On the Mueller Report
![]() |
| Compare and contrast...Gandhi, Shit for Brains Trump |
It may well be that the Mueller Report was unable to prove that Donald Trump colluded with Russia and/or obstructed justice. But until the full report is released, I ain't believing shit.
William Barr is not an Attorney General in the conventional sense--like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway, as he made clear in his confirmation hearings, he is nothing more than a paid political spokesman for Donald Trump.
And since the Trump administration has made lying one of its central tenets, why on earth would anyone believe anything one of its members says concerning Trump's culpability?
I can handle the truth, but there's no way in hell I'm taking Trump's word for it.
