In every Democratic ad from now until November 3rd

WATCH: The White House took down this video, but we still have it. Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.

It's about priorities

Remember: It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford. It’s about priorities.

It takes money to bail out losers, too

Hegseth on the $200 billion more the Trump administration is now asking for Trump’s Iran War: “It takes money to kill bad guys.”

One trillion dollars

THE PENTAGON BUDGET JUST HIT A TRILLION DOLLARS. Not a single pundit from either political party said “how are we going to pay for it?!” Don’t dare tell us we cannot ALL have healthcare, housing, and education.

Their stupidity knows no bounds

Spongebob--smarter than Laura Ingraham

After having their fee-fees hurt because the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, had the audacity to say that yes, our service men and women should be taught about Critical Race Theory and that White Rage is a threat to our country's future, Fox News bonehead opinion personality Laura Ingraham said that because of Milley's thoughtful response, the military should be defunded.

Please take a moment to appreciate the abject stupidity that went into making such a suggestion....

Anyone who thinks for one fucking minute that giving these nitwits the keys to our country again is not going to result in the end of America as any kind of sustainable nation is absolutely fucking kidding themselves.  They have taken ignorance to unheard of heights.  They are beyond hope at this point.

To steal a line from Bob Dylan, it's a wonder these idiots still know how to breathe.

The farce be with you

Thanks to work requirements which command that people receiving food stamps work twenty hours a week or forfeit their benefits after three months for three years, over 500,000 Americans could be going hungry by the end of March.  Of the twenty-three states (all controlled by republicans--surprise, surprise) that have implemented these restrictions, exactly zero have either made exceptions for high unemployment rates or added programs to help their residents look for work.  Keep in mind that requiring people to work to receive assistance does not magically create jobs that aren't there--it just means that more Americans will go hungry for no good reason.

I note this not just because I'm outraged by the callousness of republicans, but also because I happened to see a chart of President Obama's proposed budget for fiscal year 2017, and 54% of it, or $622 billion, is devoted to defense spending while 1%, or $12.8 billion, is devoted to agriculture and food (which is where food stamps are allotted).

What do you suppose it says about a nation that spends over six hundred billion dollars on weapons and war machines but only slightly more than twelve billion dollars to feed the least among its citizens?

Somehow I don't think that's what the founding fathers had in mind when they called for "a more perfect union."

What a Dick...Cheney

In many countries, a politician who did as piss poor of a job as Bush the Lesser's henchman Dick Cheney (collpapse of the American economy, asleep at the wheel on 9/11, two mismanaged wars, yawning while hundreds of Americans died in New Orleans) would be, rightfully, drawn and quartered.

In American, though, you get to go on TV and whine that the President would rather spend money on food stamps than spend even more in our morbidly obese defense budget.  Apparently the irony of more than $100 million in food stamps going to our military families is lost on Mr. Cheney--spending for a necessary evil trumping spending for the greater good and all that.  Fuck hungry children--what we need are more $435 hammers.

Frankly, Mr. Cheney and his ilk are enough to make a maggot puke.

Let's get serious

Defense spending in the U.S. currently makes up 40% of the defense spending in the entire world.  The next closest nation to ours is China, which makes up almost 8% of the world's defense spending.  We spend five times as much as our nearest competitor, and nearly as much as the rest of the world combined.  Unless our military is completely incompetent, there is no reason for this discepancy in spending between us and the rest of the world.

If the republicans are indeed serious about cutting spending, then they should be more than willing to slash defense spending significantly.  Cuts of 30-40% would  leave us no weaker in the face of any threat to our national security.  We would still have a tremendous edge in firepower over any potential enemy.

Alas, republicans are not serious about cutting spending.  They're only interested in cutting spending that their moronic base hates or their wealthy benefactors think would make them wealthier.

Most of all, they aren't about to give up their continuous gluttony at the trough of the military-industrial complex.  It's not about austerity--it's about filling their coffers with blood money.

And there's no way we should ask the poor and the middle class to shoulder more of the burden than they already do because of republican psychopathology.

Where's the outrage?

A perfect example of what is so fucked up about America is captured in the defense industry threatening to send out layoff notices prior to this fall's elections if the defense budget is cut per the deal Democrats and republicans made on the debt ceiling.

Can somebody please explain to me why when an average American who has fallen on hard times seeks help from the government he or she is a lazy moocher, but when those titans of capitalism and free enterprise come with their hands out we're all too willing to hand over my hard earned tax money to people who are just too fucking lazy to find another way to make more money?

These people are enough to make a maggot puke.
