She'll get right on that

Watevs, Andrea!

In light of Michelle Wolf's tour de force at this year's White House Correspondents Dinner, NBC journalistic has been Andrea Mitchell called for Wolf to apologize to lying sack of shit Sarah Huckabee Sanders, among others, for her comedy routine.

I agree--I think Wolf should apologize...right after Mitchell, NBC's Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent since 1994, apologizes to all of America for having her head so far up her ass that she completely missed the fact that the Bush Administration was lying through its teeth when it justified the need to go to war with Iraq in 2003 by falsely claiming not only that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, but also that it had ties to Al-Qaeda.

Or better yet, if Mitchell's husband, former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, would also apologize, this time to America's poor and middle class, for his horrendous stewardship of our economy, which directly led to the Great Recession, and for the economic hardships it caused and from which many Americans will never recover.

Wolf told a few jokes that had some all too painful truths to them.  Mitchell and her husband's obliviousness had horrific real world consequences.

Frankly, the sense of entitlement that Mitchell, and people like her in the Beltway, have is beyond mind boggling.  Frankly, she can take her phony outrage and place it right beside the head that she still has so firmly situated up her ass.

The republican deb-iraq-cle

While republicans take their completely oblivious potshots at President Obama over the deteriorating situation in Iraq, it's important to remember who created this mess.

Republicans.

Yep, from the get go republications were undeniably wrong about everything in Iraq.  But that hasn't stopped John McCain (McCain must be Scottish for "moronic asshole") from bitching about the events transpiring today (though he did take a colossal bitch slap from Chris Hayes).  Willard Romney, the noted foreign policy expert after serving one term as Massachussetts Governor and also getting his ass kicked by President Obama in 2012 (i.e., he's the Man Who Would Not Be President, Thank God), is taking the opportunity to bash Hillary Clinton and say Obama's foreign policy has been a failure (pretty much expected from a half-wit).  They're even recycling republican trolls like David Brooks (has learned nothing over the past eleven years) and Judith Miller (has there ever been a journalist who was more incompetent on an issue than Miller was on Iraq?).

Fortunately, President Obama has been prescient from the beginning on Iraq, and yesterday noted that we will not be committing more troops to the debacle that republicans created.  Frankly, I wish we'd just walk away--Iraq has been a monumental disaster in American lives and American capital and the ills it produced have not been worth it from the moment we were lied into it until this day.

One thing you can be sure of--when republicans are on TV tomorrow blaming President Obama for their mistakes, if good foreign policy was to jump out of their collective asses and yell "Howdy-doo!" they still wouldn't know what the fuck it was.

Touchdown Jesus H. Christ

Keeping in mind that a) I'm not a fan of Notre Dame athletic teams, and b) I think college football is a business like Wal-Mart or GM and not an actual sport (everybody who thinks Alabama is the national champion, raise your hand! we have a winner:  the Crimson Tide! yippee!)...

...does it bother anyone else that American journalists can dig deep and find that some college's superstar linebacker has an imaginary dead girlfriend, but were completely clueless when it came to the "weapons of mass destruction" that led to a war that cost thousands of American lives and nearly wrecked our economy?  Or completely missing all the warning signs that our economy was a shell game before it collapsed?

Somewhere along the way our priorities got awfully fucked up.
