Thanks to President Biden's executive orders, nearly 70,000 federal workers will immediately start to earn $15 an hour beginning Sunday, and 300,000 employees of federal contractors will start to see a raise to $15 an hour reflected in their paychecks over the course of the year.

Hey brother, can you spare a dime?

Pretty much what republicans think your labor is worth

Media outlets have made note this week that Congress has now gone the longest it has since Minimum Wage laws were first enacted in 1938 without increasing the Minimum Wage.  I bet to differ--it is not Congress but rather republicans who have proudly kept Americans from earning more for the fruits of their labor.

Because I can goddamn guarantee that had Democrats controlled both houses while Barack Obama was President it would have been raised by now.

How anyone can vote for a candidate who thinks $7.25 an hour is an acceptable wage is beyond me.

Labor Unions = More Money

A few fascinating facts on my favorite holiday of the year:

• Black Americans in unions earn 16.4% more than their non-union counterparts.
• White men in unions earn 20.1% more than their non-union counterparts.
• Women in unions earn 30.9% more than their non-union counterparts.
• A new study shows that not only do labor unions get more money for their members, they set a standard that gets more money for everyone.
