Our simpleminded Attorney General thought it a good idea to go on TV and expressly state that she is promoting "cruel and unusual punishment" (in violation of the 8th Amendment) and denial of due process (in violation of the 5th and 14th Amendments). Can't wait until transcripts appear in courts.

Sotomayor is right. According to this Supreme Court, the US can now kidnap, detain, and fly legal immigrants and citizens to a foreign country's prison, even if it's a whoopsie. America, people. Freedom and stuff.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
