The media always talks about the impact of a labor strike in a way that demonizes workers and sides with CEOs, but rarely about the exploitation of workers that led to the strike in the first place.

Why did the number of strikes in the U.S. increase by 52% last year? I guess it’s a mystery.

In other news, if wages had kept pace with productivity gains since 1968, the current minimum wage would be over $20 an hour.
