Kos called Andrew Breitbart's random musings a "psychotic break."  I'm not so sure--I think Breitbart's hopes are shared by most, if not all, of his like-minded allies in the tea party.  I truly believe most people in the tea party would like nothing better than to get out their guns and shoot all the Liberals, and take back the country that exists only in their puny minds.  Contrary to their wishes, that civil war will never happen:  the monied interests who pull their strings and call the real shots would never--repeat, never--let a civil war get in the way of their making money.  That being said, a few points on Breitbart's comments:

• Breitbart notes that they've "got the guns."  Apparently, Brietbarts mind is too small to grasp the fact that should it come to that, Liberals would have no fucking problem getting guns, too.  Getting guns in America is about as hard as getting sand in the fucking Sahara Desert.
• Breitbart says the military would be with them.  I have no doubt that some in the military would be with them.  But as a whole?  Not fucking likely--the military has strategic plans for dealing with global warming; the military is not counting on drill, baby, drill to solve our oil problems.  In short, the reason our military is so successful is because its leadership is full of well-educated people--and they aren't about to support a group full of illiterate dupes.
• How many supporters, do you suppose, would last in their "cause" when it became brutally obvious that they were fighting to save the wealth of the few, who would never share with the grunts their success?
• And in the end, what does it say about the tea party and its supporters that the only way they can foresee their ideas becoming mainstream would come at the end of a barrel of a gun?  Somehow I can't imagine the Founding Fathers pursuing the ideals that made this country what it is by pointing a gun at their fellow Americans and saying "Believe our way or die!"

Unless things change, though, I do believe Brietbart will get his wish of a civil war.  As we've seen in the Middle East, you can only feed the poor shit sandwiches for so long before they attack and try to stuff them down the throats of those who have so much.  With almost 1 in 6 Americans living in poverty, Breitbart and his monied backers should beware:  there is no soldier like a soldier with absolutely nothing to lose.

Hate to say I told you so, but I gotta

Welllllll....that didn't take long.  As reported by Think Progress, the republicans are already doing their best to make sure that Obama--who did in a little more than two years what Bush the lesser couldn't do in seven--doesn't get the credit he so richly deserves.  Hell, the mother fuckers actually think we planned it  to help Obama's re-election chances (damn--did you know we were that good?  I didn't).

And, of course, to go with the birthers, Andrew Brightfart is giving credence to the "deathers," a group of conservative numb nuts who think this is a conspiracy and bin Laden is still alive.  Whoever first said truth is stranger than fiction was really onto something.  Myself...I prefer to describe it as pathetic and disgusting.

If I wasn't so paranoid, I'd think the republican response was a plot to keep us from the real discussion we should be having:  is it time to speed up the timetable for the troop withdrawl from the quagmire that is Afghanistan?

The truth will out

Any bullshit that the tea party is about average Americans taking back their country can pretty much be put to rest by their appearance at the rallies in Wisconsin. From all accounts, a whopping 2000 people showed up (versus 70,000 to 100,000 rallying for the working people in this country) to be toadies for the corporations who received tax breaks at the expense of decent wages and benefits for the middle class, and so that wealthy elites like the Koch brothers (who are funding the assault on America's middle class) can have even more billions at our expense. The tea party is all about the benjamins--making sure that the rich have theirs and the rest of us don't. Thanks, but no fucking thanks. Peace, emaycee

A Tale of Two Pundits

Well this is a fine how do-you-do...

Every now and again, Mitch Albom actually gets one right--this is one of those times. In the Sherrod controversy (if you need a link, you're fucking hopeless) the NAACP fucked up. Tom Vilsack fucked up. The Obama administration fucked up. But they are not to blame. Andrew Breitbart is. Period. If anyone other than some numb nut conservidiot believes a word or story that comes out of Breitbart's cache of crap ever again, shame on them. He is nothing more than a liar and a stain on America--not just the media, but all of America. Frankly, the difference to me from Breitbart and a child molester is zero--they're both the kinds of people the country can do without.

Unfortunately, I doubt it's the last we've heard of Breitbart....

...mostly because of hacks like Nolan Finley. Leave it to a conservidiot to come up with a shitload of doublespeak to remove blame from racist Republicans and put it on the backs of those oh so lucky blackfolk here in America. Instead of penning a much deserved mea culpa, he defends Breitbart by placing blame on the NAACP for its calling the Tea Party out for its racist elements. In his ever challenging quest for journalistic relevance, Finley has actually been to a few Tea Party meetings and has never seen or heard anything racist. I work with many staunch Republicans (in fairness, all of whom are good employees and people I like), but I am often amazed at how often I hear such things as, "He's black, you know," or, "It's because he's a Mexican," or, "She's married to a colored." I'm sorry, but these are racist statements. And apparently, Finley doesn't pay much attention to the web, or else he would have seen this or this. These are picture proof of racist elements in the Tea Party--but as we all know, for conservidiots, it's easier to lie than face the truth.

And let's not forget the usual class war bullshit (Finley: "Being a class warrior won't get you fired in the Obama administration--it'll earn you a promotion."). What the fuck? When the fuck did reaching out to help those less fortunate become class warfare? This mother fucker gets paid to come up with this bullshit--now that I think about it, I really fucked up in life. I should have been an idiot and a liar and I could have made big bucks in the conservative press.

In the end, what's really sad about this whole situation is that a beautiful message got lost: it's not about color, but about helping people to make their lives better. This is what makes America great--not corporations, not the free market, not the wealthy, but common folks lending a helping hand to each other.
