Tom Cotton: "Ultimately, it's not about Prime Minster Netanyahu and Israel -- it's about arresting Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio in the future if they ever travel abroad."

Knob jobbing Trump for fun and profit
A quick search of Cotton’s accounts show that the first time he posted a single word critical of USAID was 5 days ago, despite serving in the Senate for 10 years and the House before that.

Not only the Supreme Court, but the GOP is bought and paid for
Harlan Crow isn't just buying Clarence Thomas to rig SCOTUS. He also spent $693k to own 9 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Cornyn: $463k
Graham: $51,200

A racist says what?
The type of country that prevented a talented player from playing strictly because of his race is precisely the history you don’t want children learning. https://t.co/fhEPq226VQ

Another republican traitor
![]() |
| Give 'em some milk and cookies, too, Tom |
Arkansas republican Senator Tom Cotton this week went on Fox News (surprise!) and said he had "real doubts" about the U.S. Navy's ability to defeat the Chinese navy in battle.
Now imagine that a Democrat had gone on any network anywhere and doubted the U.S. Navy's abilities to fight a war. Republicans would have crucified any such Democratic politician and the mainstream media would have gobbled it up. But a republican...to date, I could find nothing that had called Cotton to the carpet (nice job, Democrats) for an egregious statement.
I'm not a statesman, and while I might admit the reports Cotton has seen suggest it (though I have my doubts as the republican party playbook is to turn any boogeyman into the spawn of Satan), but even I know that it's a slap in the face to our servicemen and and a veritable morale killer when our politicians suggest that we can't win any military confrontation. Instead of grandstanding, perhaps saying "I fear China is making huge gains in their ability to battle our naval forces" would be a massive improvement over saying our troops are going to lose.
In the end, it's another shitty job by our national media in failing to point out how disrespectful of our military republicans have become, even if it is for a whiner trying to burnish his Presidential bona fides for an eventual campaign for an office that a man with all of the charisma of skunk spray will never hold.

...Nevers to...
Having a bad day? Well, at least you can be thankful you're not from Arkansas and thus are being represented in the U. S. Senate by a man who just might eventually make Ted Cruz look like a prescient politician: Tom Cotton (with apologies to anyone reading this who might actually be from Arkansas).
Not satisfied with being the lamebrain architect of a near treasonous letter to Iran, Tom Cotton suggested yesterday that any military action taken against Iran would be short and sweet, sort of like a gherkin.
Say...didn't republicans feed us the same bullshit in the buildup to the Iraq War?
Yes--yes, they did. And frankly, Cotton's claims should be given about as much credence as the same ones we got from the Three Stooges triumvirate of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld before the war in Iraq.
As in zip, zero, nada, none, and goose eggs.

How low can they go?
Embarrass yourselves with the funding of Homeland Security. Further embarrass yourselves with an unprecedented speech from a foreign leader that actually turns public opinion against him and his nation for the first time in decades. What to do for an encore? How about have 47 of your Senators sign and send a letter to the leader of Iran that undermines a sitting President as he tries to negotiate a nuclear deal with one of your enemies?
Well done republicans!
I'm not a legal scholar but according to this definition--"...any act that manifests a betrayal of allegiance to the United States...."--the actions of these 47 Senators come awfully close to treason (especially since we can technically be considered at war with Iran as they are considered a state sponsor of terrorism and we've been fighting a war on terror for what seems like eons now). You know it's bad when The New York Daily News, a hardcore supporter of republicans and their policies, calls the Senators "traitors," on their front page no less. It probably isn't treason, but it's just another case of republicans who claim to love America and all of what it stands for showing that they actually care about neither.
Funny thing is, they had Hillary Clinton on the ropes (somewhat) with another faux manufactured "scandal" and they've managed to remove the spotlight from her and place it squarely on their own chronic ineptitude.
These fuckers can't even run their own party, let alone this country.

The Koch side of life
Last weekend the Koch Brothers held a summit in California, attended by, among others, three hundred billionaires, and a modicum of the usual fellators of the wealthy (republicans), namely Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, and two men who would join them in the Senate, Tom Cotton (AR) and Cory Gardner (CO).
The summit was entitled "American Courage: Our Commitment to a Free Society."
Ahem.
If you take the time to read the short piece, it almost comes across like the kind of scene you'd see in an extremely satirical political movie. My guess is the summit won't be coming to a theater near you anytime soon, as it mostly included seminars on issues contrary to the views of a vast majority of Americans: money as free speech, anti-immigration reform, pro-oil spin, etc. Perhaps the most terrifying was "Employee Outreach: Engaging Your Workforce in the Cause of Freedom," which is basically conservative doublespeak for "Forcing Your Employees to Carry Out Your Political Agenda With the Threat of Starving Their Children."
Labor Unions, indeed.
Frankly, the only "Free Society" the Koch Brothers and their ilk are interested in is one where billionaires get everything for free while the rest of us pay for it.
Fuck that.

emaycee
