While being interviewed by CNN last night, one of Bill Cosby's lawyers, Jennifer Bonjean,
said that people should reserve their anger at the sexual deviant being released from prison for the prosecutor who clearly violated the U.S. Constitution when he set up the interviews that led to Cosby's conviction. And she is perfectly correct--we should hold anyone who violates our constitutional rights in the highest disdain.
That being said, it is also perfectly acceptable to direct our anger and our contempt to a man who
fifty-eight women have accused of sexual assault. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court did not absolve Cosby of his crimes--they merely freed him from prison.
He is, and will forever remain, a serial rapist.
